Working closely with museum curators, House & Robertson was the executive architect for the movable art walls within the newly constructed 345,000 -sq.-ft. Broad Museum in downtown Los Angeles. Working in collaboration with wHY Architecture, HRA focused on the spatial layout configuration and technical development of the walls, and oversaw the planning, permitting and installation of the relocatable walls within the large free-span skylit space on the main gallery level. The walls are designed to be flexible to meet the needs of the museum’s varied exhibitions.
