California Endowment Headquarters

< | >

The California Endowment is a private foundation that seeks to expand access to affordable, quality health care and to improve the health status of all Californians. Their Los Angeles headquarters consists of a four-story office building with a central atrium space to enhance connections between user groups, a conference center, meeting rooms, an open-air courtyard used for meetings and entertaining, and below-grade parking. House & Robertson worked in collaboration with two separate design offices on both the shell and interior development of 152,000 sq. ft. of new space for the foundation, and also provided LEED consulting services for the building shell and the interior improvements. The project team was honored with a Presidential Award from the Los Angeles chapter of The American Institute of Architects for “Building Team of the Year” and the 2008 Merit Award from the Los Angeles chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council.
