The Mosaic District Cinema and Restaurant Building is a new 75,000-sq.-ft., three-story mixed-use building comprising a high-end art-house cinema and 30,000 sq. ft. of restaurant shell space, the focal point for a large mixed-use development in Fairfax County, Virginia. House & Robertson served as architect of record for both the overall base-building scope and the development of the shell and interiors for the eight-screen Angelika Film Center & Cafe which occupies all of the upper levels of the building. The cinema space includes state-of-the-art technology and separate bar and food-service venues at each of the three levels. Completed in 2012, the project was the recipient of the 2013 Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. Award of Excellence.
