House & Robertson was engaged by SmartDesign Group of Vancouver in 2011 to work as the executive architect for a series of retail and food service venues in the new main terminal at Sacramento International Airport. For food service operator SSP America, seven separate leaseholds were developed using concepts showcasing well-known local food and beverage brands. In addition, two other lease spaces were developed as retail venues for Pacific Gateway Concessions (PGC). HRA coordinated the documentation of each lease space with the architect and contractor for the new terminal, which was concurrently under construction. HRA also worked closely with the Sacramento County Airport Authority and the City of Sacramento, who held dual jurisdiction for approvals and construction inspections for each venue of the project.
